Construction is officially underway on UC Berkeley’s most ambitious student housing project in recent memory, and one that will permanently reshape the city’s skyline. The Bancroft-Fulton Residence Hall, a 23-story high-rise at the corner of Bancroft Way and Fulton Street, is set to become the tallest building in Berkeley.

Studio Hive is developing Timber Yard, a student accommodation project in Bristol’s Temple Quarter, featuring over 700 studios and ensuite rooms on a former industrial site.

Endeavor Real Estate Group has started work on its first project in Arkansas, the 1,009-bed Juniper in Fayetteville. The student housing community is slated for completion in the summer of 2028.

Multiplex has topped out Journal Student Living’s $194 million Market Way PBSA project in Melbourne’s CBD, a 40-level development delivering 715 rooms and 1,010 beds with extensive communal amenities and 172 bicycle spaces, reflecting student transport preferences.

Study Inn’s proposal for a 110-bed student accommodation block at 5 James Street is set to be rejected by the council due to concerns over the building’s excessive footprint, insufficient landscaping, and inadequate amenity space, which fail to meet the city’s standards for quality living environments.
