GES Real Australia has proposed a $128 million, 22-storey student accommodation tower at 97-99 Stirling Street, Perth, designed to house 720 students near the new ECU City Campus, featuring a mix of studios and four-bedroom apartments with communal amenities.

Kilburn & District Properties and General Projects have submitted plans to convert a vacant 1960s building in Camden Town into a student living scheme with 345 beds and 20,000 sq ft of commercial and community space, designed by AHMM.

Unite Group, the UK’s largest student accommodation provider, reduced rents by 0.3% for the current academic year, the first decline in over 25 years outside the Covid-19 lockdown, driven by falling international student numbers and more domestic students living at home.

Fields Holdings has secured a $94.8 million construction loan to develop Zev Corvallis, a 13-story, 262-unit, 667-bed, Class A student housing property in Corvallis, Ore., near Oregon State University.

Rockfield and Ardian’s student housing joint venture acquired a majority stake in The Social Hub Berlin, a hybrid asset combining student accommodation, premium extended and short-stay offerings, and community spaces, marking their second investment in Germany and expanding their European portfolio to over €1.16bn and 7,500 beds.
