Mortgage lender BridgeInvest has invested $30 million into the refinancing of The Rowan, an apartment complex at 1051 Southern Drive marketed toward college students, according to a release from the company.

Hybrid developer and contractor Downing has submitted plans for a 430-bed student accommodation and commercial scheme in South London. The Liverpool-based firm plans to transform a brownfield site at 2 Armoury Way in Wandsworth with two 10-storey towers.

Bellmount Developments have been granted planning permission for a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Cork City, Ireland. The plans were submitted by Bellmount Developments Limited in August 2022, but was held up due to a backlog of applications.

Plans have been put forward to transform a listed building in Glasgow city centre into student accommodation. The vacant B-listed building at 250 Vincent Street, located at the top of Blythswood Hill, could be turned into 146 bedrooms, with 150 available beds if the proposals submitted to Glasgow City Council are approved.
