Unite Students has completed an upgrade to its purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) property in Durham. Work to the existing building includes new college staff offices, welfare and study spaces, as well as the reinstatement of the historic entrance.

Due to be fully complete by summer next year, the 1,224-bed Echo Street project is being delivered by contractor Bowmer + Kirkland, which has now reached the build’s highest point. Topping out at 28 storeys, the tallest of three interlinked buildings will rise to 81 metres.

Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) operator mys Living has appointed Mark Findlay as Director of Development. Mark joins the company from Gardiner & Theobald where he was Partner in charge of its Edinburgh Office.
