The government has decided against listing a historic Manchester cotton mill building, meaning that plans to turn it into a 595-bed student housing scheme can now proceed.

Developer, X1, and Manchester-based investment specialist, Knight Knox, have completed X1 Cheltenham Place, a £44m luxury student accommodation scheme next to the University of Salford’s Frederick Road campus. The scheme represents X1’s 11th student accommodation development in the North West.
