Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions, a leading developer and operator of infrastructure projects for the college and university market, is pleased to announce it has reached financial close on a public-private partnership (P3) project to deliver new on-campus student housing at William & Mary in Virginia.

Athens, Ga.-based Landmark Properties has acquired The Lodges at 777, a student housing community located in Baton Rouge, roughly two miles from Louisiana State University (LSU). Constructed in 2011, the property comprises 1,290 beds across 382 units.

Chicago-based developer Core Spaces proposed the construction of a 12-story, 232-unit market-rate apartment building dubbed “Johnson and Bassett” at 221 N. Bassett St., 430-444 W. Dayton St. and 437-445 W. Johnson St.

JLL Capital Markets announced that it arranged the capitalization of USC Expo, a 57-unit / 260-bed USC student housing development located less than a half-block from the campus of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.

A set of abandoned 19th century buildings on the sprawling mountaintop Royal Victoria Hospital property are being earmarked for transformation into about 1,000 student residences for students from the many schools in Montreal.

GMH Capital Partners LP and AGC Equity Partners have sold Everly on the Loop, a 209-unit, 428-bed student housing community in St. Louis, Mo., adjacent to Washington University. R5 acquired the asset and assumed a $49.4 million acquisition loan provided by Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.
