Middle Tennessee State University is partnering with The Annex Group to develop Womack Commons, a $56.5 million student housing community set to begin construction by February and complete by summer 2027, replacing the outdated Womack Lane Apartments.

Development around the site in Waterloo is intensifying, driven by transit access and proximity to university campuses, with multiple mid- to high-rise projects underway or proposed nearby.

Sterling LSU Tiger Pointe, LLC, a joint venture between The Dinerstein Companies and Harrison Street Asset Management, is developing two student housing communities near Louisiana State University: Sterling Tiger Valley with 845 beds opening before Fall 2027, and Sterling Southgate with 899 beds scheduled for Fall 2028 delivery.
