UC Santa Barbara is constructing the San Benito Student Housing project near Harder and Caesar Uyesaka Stadiums, adding 2,224 new student beds across seven buildings, with completion targeted for fall 2027.

Michigan Technological University opened East Hall in August 2025, adding 512 beds and 126,000 square feet of modern, collaborative student housing to support growing enrollment and enhance campus life.

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises (CPPE) acquired The Current, a 177-unit, 636-bed student housing community near campus, for $126 million to address a critical shortage of 1,761 beds identified in a 2023 housing demand assessment.

The proposal includes 510 new beds. Construction is scheduled for spring 2026, with a target completion date of September 2029, to welcome students.
