VerbaFlo has appointed Jennifer Love as Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Multifamily and Student Housing, to lead its expansion into the US market, marking the company’s first senior leadership hire in the region and underscoring its global growth strategy.

Construction is officially underway on UC Berkeley’s most ambitious student housing project in recent memory, and one that will permanently reshape the city’s skyline. The Bancroft-Fulton Residence Hall, a 23-story high-rise at the corner of Bancroft Way and Fulton Street, is set to become the tallest building in Berkeley.

Daniel Otis, CEO of Brickstone Partners, has acquired full ownership of The Lodge at Boulder, a 371-bed luxury student housing community serving the University of Colorado Boulder, consolidating control previously shared with Deutsche Finance America through his family office, Cornerstone.

Core Spaces has acquired The Collective at Columbia, a 972-bed student housing community serving the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.

Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC), a leading provider of commercial real estate capital markets financing solutions, arranged $3,685,000 in financing for the acquisition of Beacon Commons, a 48-unit multifamily property leased by Beacon College, a private four-year college.

Landmark Properties has acquired a 27-acre site in Oxford, Mississippi, to develop The Station at Oxford, an 817-bed cottage-style student housing community near the University of Mississippi, scheduled for completion by the 2027-2028 academic year.

Villas on Rensch, which has more than 150 units and 600 beds, mostly serving University at Buffalo students, was sold last month to GRJ LLC, a New York City-based real estate developer. American Campus Communities was the previous owner of the complex.
