Far East Orchard has established its first private fund in Singapore, and completed its first closing of £70 million (S$120.1 million) on Thursday (Aug 22).

A new landmark development for Journal Student Living in an area undergoing an exciting transformation in Melbourne’s CBD is nearing completion. Nestled within the Queen Victoria Market precinct, the site is located on Market Way at 100 Franklin Street.

Greenwich Council’s old Riverside House offices in Woolwich could be enlarged and converted into student accommodation and a hotel under plans published this week.

A planning application has been submitted to transform the building at 250 St Vincent Street into a 150-bed accommodation. The structure was built in 1878 and is category B listed. It historically housed a hotel and has been empty since 2018.

Plans to demolish a derelict cinema in Nottingham and replace it with student flats have been given the green light. Developer Zen Nottingham Limited will be knocking down the former cinema building, on Queen’s Road, to make way for a new six to nine-storey tower block.

Residential for rent developer and manager Watkin Jones Group will regenerate the brownfield site by demolishing the existing former HMRC building on India Street and partially retaining the existing concrete frame.
