Bowmer + Kirkland has been appointed main contractor for the £274 million Castle Leazes student accommodation redevelopment in Newcastle upon Tyne, commissioned by Unite Students and Newcastle University.

Unite Students is behind the plans, which relate to Arrad House. The site forms part of the Unite Student Village which is located within the cultural quarter and comprises eight buildings, providing 797 student bedrooms.
