Finalists have been announced across the 14 categories of the Global Student Living Awards for the UK & Ireland, and 11 categories for Europe. The Global Student Living Awards are based exclusively on direct feedback from over 70,000 students surveyed about their experience, making them uniquely credible and highly prized industry accolades.

In the UK & Ireland, The University of Derby leads the way for the universities, making the shortlist in five different categories (including Best University Housing), closely followed by the University of Liverpool with four (including Best Individual Property for Greenbank Student Village). Ulster University are named as finalists in three categories, with Edge Hill University, University of Lincoln and Queen Margaret University each being shortlisted in two categories.

Other University finalists include Arts University Bournemouth, University of Glasgow, Cardiff Metropolitan University, University of the West of England, University of Nottingham, Lancaster University, University of Strathclyde and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Amongst the private operators focussed on the UK & Ireland market, Fresh lead the way as finalists in no less than seven categories (including Best Private Housing), closely followed by Student Castle with six shortlistings. Hello Student and Prime Student Living are finalists in four categories each, and Derwent Students has made the shortlist in three of the most prestigious categories; Best Private Housing, Best Customer Service and Best Value for Money.

The full list of private operator finalists for UK & Ireland also includes Host, Homes for Students, Novel Student, Collegiate, aparto, Campus Living Villages, Kaplan Living, Unite Students, Goodenough College, Abodus Living, International Students House, LUNA Students, Luxury Student Homes, McComb Students, Nurtur Student Living and Study Inn.

Yugo and Nido are the only operators to be finalists in both the UK & Ireland awards, and the awards for Europe. Each is a finalist in two categories for UK & Ireland with a further five European shortlistings for Yugo and six for Nido.

Other European finalists include Spanish giant Resa and German operator Neon Wood, making the shortlist for five awards each. CampusX lead the Italian representation at the awards with four shortlistings, and Belgian-based Xior Student Housing also have four.
