A Utah developer is seeking zoning in Richardson to build a mixed-use project near the University of Texas at Dallas. Alta Terra Real Estate came at the city council two years ago and was turned down, the council saying there was no demand for the project due to the Covid pandemic.

The owner of Union on Plum, the Campus West apartment complex that was shut down and evacuated because of structural issues last year, has sued the development’s architect and engineer for alleged design defects. The complaint was filed Oct. 7 in Larimer County District Court.
