Gilbane Development Co. has completed TEMPO, a 978-bed student housing community in College Park, Md. The fully furbished property serves students attending the University of Maryland. Initially financed with an $11 million loan from the owners in 2019, the same year the property received an $11.

UC San Diego has officially broken ground on a new student village that will feature the tallest residential towers on a University of California campus to date. The Pepper Canyon West Living and Learning Neighborhood is scheduled to open in the fall of 2024, according to the La Jolla Light.

Vancouver Island University is getting 266 new student-housing beds and a new dining hall in an $87.8-million project announced Friday on the Nanaimo campus. The new nine-storey building, expected to open in the fall of 2025, will increase the number of on-campus beds to 802 from 536.
