University of Maryland (UMD) graduate students will have a new housing option when the college’s planned Leonardtown apartments become available near downtown College Park in two years.

Bridgeview Real Estate, a Delaware statutory trust sponsor company and developer, has launched a $27.2 million DST offering fueled by high-barrier-to-entry student housing projects at Texas Christian University and University of Texas at Arlington.

Construction will begin this October on Student Housing III, a five-story, 97,100 square-foot facility that will feature 285 affordable and 40 standard-rate beds. The building is scheduled to open in June 2026.
