University College Dublin (UCD) is to begin talks with landlords to rent accommodation for students who will be unable to get places in university-owned accommodation from next September.

Plans have come forward for the development of a block of student accommodation on the site of a former Leeds nightclub. Breslin Properties Ltd is set to present pre-application proposals for a site on York Street to Leeds City Council's City Plans Panel later today (23 March 2023).

Regal London acquires Devonshire Place, a 0.7-hectare site to deliver a new purpose-built student accommodation scheme. The site is located at 747-759 Old Kent Road and 765-775 Old Kent Road – opposite the proposed new Bakerloo Line station on Old Kent Road in the London Borough of Southwark.

Plans to build a student accommodation block on an unused part of a Stoke Gifford retail park have been revealed by Canada Life Asset Management, in partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE).

Crown House – the derelict former DWP building in Huddersfield town centre – is to become student accommodation, taking its inspiration from the proposed National Health Innovation Campus nearby.

The 29-storey scheme was initially rejected because it was “too overbearing”. Developers MRP and Vita Group will now create the “high-quality” student rooms with a residents’ gym, dance studio, co-study spaces, social hub, games rooms and private dining rooms.
