Coventry-based developer DR2H has announced that its premium PBSA scheme recently secured planning permission through appeal. Situated nearby Cannon Park shopping centre and the University of Warwick campus, the new scheme will deliver 196 premium studios.

More than 400 studios are set to come to Beeston after Cassidy Group has completed its purchase of The Square site in the town.

Developers are looking to build a new block of student flats, and affordable apartments and create a new public realm on disused land in the city centre. Vita Group has drawn up proposals for the site on India Street to create a new 'thriving, connected community'.

Fisher German is marketing Court Mews, which is located on Farrier Street and includes a total of 48 en-suite tooms divided across six self-contained units. Plans have been lodged for the final phase of a major Leeds city centre development with hundreds of student apartments proposed. Caddick Group has submitted a full planning application to Leeds City Council for Block A at the SOYO development.

London-based residential developer Astir has made a trio of new hires; Percy Mullany, John Lahiff and Chris Chapman have recently joined the company and will be focusing on new land acquisitions.

Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) provider Unite Students has started work to improve and extend its Rushford Court scheme in Durham, in partnership with Durham University. Works to upgrade the development will be completed in Autumn 2024.    

Plans to build new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) in Edinburgh’s city centre have been lodged as part of the New Waverley masterplan development. The proposal for the site between Calton Road and Shoemakers Square comprises of 289 bedrooms, including 65 bedrooms within four and five-bed clusters and 224 studio bedrooms.

Tiger Developments Limited and George Capital (Glasgow) Limited have submitted a Proposal of Application Notice to Glasgow City Council for the potential redevelopment of 109 West Nile Street.
