Residential developer HUB is seeking a forward funding partner for its 632-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Leith, the single largest consent of its type granted in Edinburgh.

A developer has been given the go-ahead to build 245 student beds at a Nottingham site that had previously been granted planning permission for a private rented sector (PRS) development.

Innovation Control, an established Preston-based property investment firm, has acquired a 244-bed purpose-built student residential asset in the city, for an undisclosed sum, supported by funding from Cambridge & Counties Bank.

Having consulted on proposals to redevelop a vacant site off Plymouth Grove into a 263-studio PBSA development, the firm has now submitted a planning application for the scheme. The developer told Place North West that the scheme would be managed by This is Fresh, the operator’s first Manchester site. 

Harris Associates and Savills have confirmed funds and accounts managed by BlackRock will collaborate with developer Manner to deliver The Store House, a Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) project in Leeds.

Plans for student accommodation complete with a cinema and yoga studio have been lodged for Telephone House in Dundee. The building, which sits on the corner of West Bell Street and Ward Road, has been occupied by BT since 1976.

The Dot Group, the transformational force in global student living, is pleased to have reached a contractual agreement to acquire the CRM Students Ltd group of companies from CORESTATE Capital Holdings S.A. The Agreement will see Dot acquire CRM Students, and its subsidiaries, across the UK and Europe, consisting of over 26,000 beds in seven countries and more than 100 properties. 

Lacuna Developments & Watkin Jones have notified Belfast City Council of their plans to develop a large site behind Belfast Metropolitan College, close to the Titanic Belfast museum. The five acre site also straddles the recently constructed Olympic House office building.
