Design and build firm McAleer & Rushe has won a contract worth in excess of £100m by developer Dominus Real Estate to redevelop an office block into over 700 student accommodation units.

Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) provider and Dandara Group division – Dandara Living – has been granted planning permission by Glasgow City Council to develop City Wharf.

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC today announced that it has entered an agreement with Share Student Living and CIX Capital to operate and manage its first purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) in Brazil. Under the agreement, the properties will function under the brand 'Share by Greystar'.

Plans have been unveiled for a 623-bed student accommodation scheme on the site of a Mecca Bingo hall in north London. Real estate investor Tri7 and student housing developer Fusion Group have submitted proposals for the mixed-use scheme in Wood Green to Haringey Council.

A developer is making a second attempt at getting approval for a massive student accommodation development at the former Marks and Spencer site on Sauchiehall Street. Original plans by Fusion were refused by Glasgow’s planning applications committee in November.

Developer Re:shape Living has purchased a site on Macbean Street in Woolwich, with plans to create a new development for co-living and student accommodation. The site could also include a new two-storey community space and public realm, according to the developer.

The Darden Housing Plan schematics show 218 units in two buildings, with about 350 beds spanning studio units as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
