Van de Wiel joins from Capital Value where he was a residential real estate advisor focusing on build to rent and PBSA markets, whilst Baum joins from International Campus Group where he was a transaction manager for over four years. Wimjan Van de Wiel and Wladimir Baum have joined as investment managers, based in Amsterdam and Frankfurt respectively.

The company plans to invest €33 mln in the project. The property, which will be developed under the Quartillion brand, will include 182 modern single-occupancy apartments for students, with a total floor area of around 3,900 m2.

Financial details were not disclosed. The asset adds 218 beds in 102 apartments across two buildings to Heitman’s portfolio. The acquisition follows the purchase of student housing platform, Bo Coliving, in March 2023.

M&G Real Estate has acquired two residential properties in Germany and Portugal. In Lisbon, purpose-built student accommodation development for €34.7 million. The scheme will offer 333 beds, split into 315 single studios and 9 twodios, in the Olaias district within walking distance from Instituto Superior Técnico Lisboa, Portugal's most prestigious engineering university.
