The student housing market wrapped the fall 2023 leasing season with a 95.1 percent preleasing rate, falling behind last year’s final figure. Rent growth also slowed, dropping 0.9 percent since its peak in March.

A decision could this week be made on plans to demolish and replace a popular music venue in Southampton with a 13-storey student accommodation tower. Planning permission for the proposed development of Firehouse and 10-12 Pound Tree Road was initially secured way back in 2019.
Leeds firm to build £50m York flats project
The Leeds-based company will build 275 units in a four-storey building covering 80,000 sq fit. Facilities will include a gym yoga studio, games room, co-working and group dining areas. To recognise the site’s history there will also be a cinema.
