The university rector at Turgut Ozal University has created a free store on campus, in order to provide free clothing and shoes to students.
Wanting to both support students in financial straits and provide moral support to the student body at the Ankara-based university, Professor Dr Aysun Bay Karabulut teamed up with the humanitarian organisation Turkish Red Crescent to establish The Youth Boutique.
Available to all students on campus
Turkish Red Crescent provided the stock, which will be replenished on a monthly basis and available to anyone registered at the university. Students will be allowed to take up to four items per term.
Students’ requests will be taken into account when choosing stock for the store.
