 A new dorm is taking shape on Florida A&M’s campus nearly 10 months after the university’s board of trustees approved $11 million to bring three more dorms to campus as demand for student housing continues to rise.

National residential and commercial property developer – Godwin Developments – has appointed Stuart Munro and Richard Sanders as advisory members to its property board. The two highly experienced property professionals both have decades of experience.

Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) has recently submitted new plans for a development above Southwark tube station, in central London, after previously being granted planning consent for an office complex.

Palladius Capital Management, a prominent player in the real estate investment arena, recently completed the acquisition of nine residential properties valued at an impressive $579 million. This significant portfolio includes five multifamily and four student housing communities, over 2,500 units in total.

CDL Hospitality Trusts recently announced their first acquisition into the PBSA sector. The trust has purchased Benson Yard, a 404-bedroom PBSA development in Liverpool. Knight Frank valued the property at £39m, with the total acquisition cost reaching approximately £41m.

MRP NUH Ltd, a development company associated with McAleer & Rushe, has been granted approval by Belfast City Council Planning Committee and elected members for a £80m purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Belfast city centre.

WUKPG has sold the 136-studio Tatton House on Hathersage Road on behalf of a syndicate of Chinese investors. Empiric Student Property has bought the purpose-built student accommodation scheme for £19.75m.

Schwartz Family Company, Australia’s largest private hotel owner, has signed on as a key investor in the redevelopment of London Paddington hotel in a partnership with Singapore-based private equity real estate firm Prima Asset Management.
