Urbium Capital, a London-based real estate private equity firm, has announced the successful first close of its Urbium Living Fund I, a UK residential real estate strategy focused on delivering high-quality purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and senior living assets.

Plans have been put forward to transform a listed building in Glasgow city centre into student accommodation. The vacant B-listed building at 250 Vincent Street, located at the top of Blythswood Hill, could be turned into 146 bedrooms, with 150 available beds if the proposals submitted to Glasgow City Council are approved.
