Essen: New dormitory planned in direct proximity to the university
A new, privately run student residence is to be built directly opposite the university. The project company "The Student Park-Essen" from Halle an der Saale (Saxony-Anhalt) wants to build a complex with more than 300 residential units on the site of the former St. Mary's Church on the corner of Segeroth and Hans-Böckler-Straße (B224). Furnished 20-square-meter apartments are planned, which will be rented for 285 euros plus additional costs. "Because the project is funded by the Landesbank, this rent is definitely possible," says project manager Torsten Wacker.
