Host Student Housing Ltd is set to begin work on a 447-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in central Bristol. It is being backed by a global insurance institutional investor with a £85m forward funding deal.

Purdue University Fort Wayne on Monday announced plans for a nearly $100 million apartment complex on the university’s North Campus. The project is part of a public-private partnership with construction and real estate development company Gilbane.

CapitaLand Ascott Trust (CLAS) has acquired the remaining 10% stake in Standard at Columbia, a freehold student accommodation property in South Carolina, USA. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) yield on total development cost is expected to be approximately 7%.
