Plans approved to demolish Glasgow offices for new student accommodation

Plans have been approved to knock down offices in Glasgow city centre to build student accommodation.
Glasgow City Council planners have given a developer permission to demolish the under-used spaced in a bid to build a busy student block overlooking Blythswood Square.
Courie Investments Ltd’s put forward a proposal to redevelop the corner site at 249 West George Street with plans for the new building to have nearly 150 studios.
