A pre-application notice has been submitted to the council detailing plans for the vacant building at 140 Causewayside to be bulldozed and replaced with a block of student flats. Building firm Balfour Beatty has said the site in question is an established student location near the University of Edinburgh and the King’s Buildings campus, with a mix of studio and cluster apartments proposed.
